Julio Oseguera

Guilt And Forgiveness

Curator

Trish Gutierrez

Lindsay Arts is pleased to present Guilt and Forgiveness, a new exhibition by artist Julio Oseguera, curated by Trish Gutierrez. The exhibition explores identity, memory, and the emotional complexities of the human experience through expressive figurative oil paintings.

In Guilt and Forgiveness, Oseguera uses the human figure as a symbolic space to explore themes of identity, memory, and transformation. Working primarily in oil, his portraits emphasize subtle gestures, rich textures, and quiet emotional expression. Rather than presenting a single narrative, each painting invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and discover their own interpretations of the work.

The exhibition features a collection of vibrant figurative portraits, including works displayed throughout the gallery’s east wall. Through his expressive use of color, gesture, and form, Oseguera creates a visual experience that encourages viewers to engage with themes of emotion, memory, and personal transformation.
